Welcome to the natural world as I see it.

I have been taking photographs of wildlife ever since our first trip to Africa in 1999.

Whilst much of my work is of animals and birds, I also enjoy photographing plants as well as landscapes, seascapes and skies. I take pictures of anything that moves, and much that doesn't!

Sometimes my photographs are about wonder: could I possibly capture the reflection of a bush in a drop of rain? Could I bring the magic of fairyland to a lion asleep under a tree? Can I possibly capture my reflection in the eyes of a cheetah? Can I capture the contrast of a lion lying in a bed of flowers?

I want to record the beauty of nature: animals, yes, but landscapes and skies too, in a way that reflects how I see the world. I am aware of the possibilities of HD photography but I am not interested in using my computer to create my pictures. I like to change as little as possible on a computer, a tweak on exposure or a bit more contrast or sharpness perhaps. I do crop, sometimes quite a lot, as I am not strong enough to handle a really big lens and animals can be far away. My aim is always to use my camera to record a moment and my computer to make the final adjustments to it so that the result is as true to my memory as I can make it.

This is what I want to show to as many people as will look and see, I hope you enjoy my work.

I will be changing some of the photographs from time to time, so please check out my site again if you like my work.
